Linda Collins, age 75, passed on December 28, 2023. Linda was predeceased by Curtis Collins, Sr., her husband of 56 years and her siblings, Mary Phillips, Mattie Clark, Frances Rice, Romey Jones, Jr. and Arthur Jones. She is survived by her siblings, Wanda Corley (Jerry), Lewis Jones, Sr. (Barbara), Andy Jones, and Dan Jones (Margaret); her children, Candace Stricklin (Randy), Kristy Forbes (Jim), Curtis Collins, Jr. (Kim), and Carla Curley (Damani); her grandchildren, Bethany Johnston (Jeremiah), Nathaniel Fazenbaker (Kelley), Stephen Stricklin (Lorna), Alexis Collins (Randy), Emily Collins, Melanie Culver (Cody), Sara Collins Stricklin, Brianna Stricklin, Monique Clark (Andy), Monique Bard (Shavell), Elise Curley, Jocelyn Curley, and Olivia Collins; and her great-grandchildren, Levi, Jenson, Bella, Zoee, Maddie, Noah, Connor, Lydia, Curtis and Zen.

Linda was known for starting her day with a cup of coffee, her Bible, and prayer. She would often sing hymns as she went about her daily routines of dressing, cooking, and caring for her family.

Although Linda retired from South Central Bell in management after 25 years of service and went on to be a successful business owner for more than 25 years, this was not her boast. Her boast was Jesus and her passion was making sure all of her family members knew Him. She shared Jesus and scriptures with everyone she met. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time, making memories, and traveling with her family members and friends. She is leaving us to join many family members already gone, but she would be the first to remind us that although she is absent from her body, she is present with the Lord.

Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. with Bobby Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.

Linda was missions minded. So, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities Alabama (https://www.rmhca.org/how-can-you-help/donate/), or The West Huntsville Baptist Church WeGo Fund (https://westhuntsville.churchcenter.com/giving)
