Linda Cole Hill, a beloved matriarch, was born on October 22, 1951, in Jackson, Tennessee, and left this world on November 2, 2024, in Collierville, Tennessee. Her life was radiant, woven with love, family, and cherished memories.
Linda was not just a member of her family; she was the heart that pulsed life into every gathering and celebration. An embodiment of warmth and inclusivity, she made it her mission to ensure everyone around her felt welcomed and valued. Her spirit shone brightly through her friendly and welcoming demeanor. She had an innate ability to make anyone who crossed her path feel like they were part of her family, embodying a nurturing presence that was felt by all.
Linda placed family at the very core of her existence. She was a devoted wife, a loving daughter, a proud mother, and a doting grandmother. The relationships she cultivated with her mother and father, brothers, and the countless cousins, nieces, and nephews, were roots that nourished her soul.
Throughout the years, she found many ways to spend time with her loved ones. From the week-long summer visits of nieces and nephews, to the many vacations spent with family and friends. These trips became treasured memories that her family will carry in their hearts forever. Many of these stories were retold with joy and laughter over the last few weeks.
Linda’s proudest accomplishment was fostering these deep connections within her family. Her unwavering commitment to family life defined her character and endeared her to all who knew her. Her passion for spending time with her loved ones will be remembered alongside the endless love she provided.
Left to cherish her loving memory is her husband of 54 years (would have been 55 years on November 28th), David E. Hill; devoted children, David Michael Hill and Dana Leigh Hill (Randy Harford); adored grandchildren, Mackenzie Hill, Chase Hill, Asher Harford, Breckin Harford, and Cade Harford; brothers, John Cole (Teresa) and Jeffrey R. Cole (Sherry); brother-in-law, Bobby Hill (Donna Carter Hill); and sisters-in-law, Lana Hill Anderson and Sherrell Miller Cole.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Powell Cole and Josephine Coleman Cole Rogers; brother, Joseph Francis Cole; and brother-in-law, George Anderson.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Pastor Gary Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Although she has departed from our sight, the essence of Linda Cole Hill will forever reside in the hearts of those she loved. Her memory will continue to inspire us to cherish our own families, ensuring that the warmth she radiated in life cultivates a lasting bond among us all.
