Linda Carson Rye – Obituary

Linda Carson Rye, 71, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at her residence. She was a member of the Iuka Baptist Church. She was retired from Genesco after 30 years of service, and then later retired from Iuka Discount Drugs after 15 years of service there. She was an avid Ole Miss fan, and loved watching Ole Miss Sports. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Friday, September 21 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Phil Dawson. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Blake Dawson, Drew Dawson, Dalton Wright, Collin Wright, Carson Smith, Jake Cobb, Bud Dotson, and Jacob Pind. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors 3 daughters – Brenda Dawson and Becky Cobb (Joey) both of Iuka; and Benji Rye (fiancée Rusty Stamper) of Ft. Worth, TX; 3 brothers – William Carson of Florence, AL; and Eddie Carson and Earl Carson, both of Iuka; 1 sister – Brenda Tumlin of Mechanicsville, VA; 7 grandchildren – Blake Dawson (Julie), Sara Beth Cobb, Drew Dawson (Whitney), Dalton Wright, Collin Wright, Carson Smith, and Jake Cobb; and 2 great grandchildren – Mackenzie and Ryeder Dawson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Valerie Carson; 2 brothers, Wheeler and James Carson; and a son-in-law, Greg Dawson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
