Funeral service for Linda Carol Cook, 79, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Oakwood Memorial Cemetery, Pastor Joe McNulty officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 – 8 p.m.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Cook passed away Thursday, January 27th, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born November 15, 1942 to Barto G. & Dessie May Sexton Abernathy. She loved cooking sewing, quilting, and bird watching. She was a dedicated nurse for many years, a member of Shelton Grove Baptist Church and truly loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Gordon Cook; son, Bart (Ann) Cook; daughters, Leah (Jim) Thomas, Shelia (George) Slatton; sister, Janice (Clyde) McKinney; grandchildren, Justin (Emily) Wilton, Koel Wilton, Kaitlin (Taylor) Hale, Shelby Cook, Emily Glasscock, Amber (Jaython) Chambers, Jonathan Slatton, David Slatton; great-grandchildren, Hank Wilton, Addie Wilton, Eleanor Hale, Blakely & Arley Glasscock, Xander Chambers, Layla Chambers; family and friends.
