Funeral service for Mrs. Linda Bell, age 69, of Decatur, will be Monday October 7th.,2013 7 :00 p.m. at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Evans and Brother Nicky Pressnell officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday 7th. October , 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Church. Interment will be in Decatur City Cemetery on Tuesday 10:00 A.M.
Mrs. Bell, who died Friday, October 4, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born February 29, 1944, in Morgan County to Ottie Newson and Myrtle Margret Hudson Newson
She is survived by her husband James Leon Bell of Decatur, Al
(2) Sons: Alan Bell and James (Len) Bell and wife Michelle both of Decatur, Al
Daughter: Catherine Ratliff and husband Joseph of Decatur, Al.
6 Grandchildren: Brandi, Christina, Summer, Taylor, Ellie and Ethan and 2 Great Grandchildren : Clayton and Harley
(2) Brothers: Bobby Newson and wife Margaret of Decatur,Al and Ottie Newsom and wife Jeanne of Priceville, Al.
(2) Sisters: Margaret Hamilton of Trinity, Al and Becky Johnson and husband Bob of Decatur, Al.

Mrs. Bell Graduated with honors from Athens Sate College. She received two Masters Degrees from UAB . She taught with love at Calhoun College, Crossroads and West Morgan. She took joy in life from caring for and loving her children and grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Lobo, Julie and the caring team at the Cancer Care Center.
