Linda Ann Sydnor Linda Ann Sydnor passed from this Earth on the afternoon of June 4, 2024, while at her home. She was 69 years old. She was born in Schenectady, New York on January 10, 1955, to Beverly Payne Sydnor and Ann Gay Sydnor. She was the first of four children. She was affectionately known as Syd by all her friends, and as Inda by a father who assigned peculiar nicknames to those he loved.

Linda, a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU,) was a long-time resident of Murfreesboro before and after her studies. It was her home of choice. A lover of books and the written word, Linda worked at Ingrams Content Group for several years before retiring. A long-time member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, Linda was a faithful parishioner, deacon, and caretaker of sunflowers. She was also a firm believer in the path of Alcoholics Anonymous and advocated for her fellow survivors through teaching, driving others to meetings, and encouragement of living day by day.

Linda will be remembered always by two younger sisters. Susan Bergman and her family of Pikeville, NC; husband Jack Bergman, niece Julie Phillips, nephew Joseph Bergman, and great aunt to their children. And Kim Sydnor of Atlanta, GA. As well as Phil Sadler, a reunited partner in life.

A celebration of life will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church, Murfreesboro on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 2:00pm. Her church family and friends will gather to show their love and affection for the special gifts that only Linda could provide. At a later date, Linda will join her loving father, mother, and brother Tom at Crewe Cemetery in Virginia by the spreading of her ashes. To be followed shortly by a sudden growth of flowers. She will join them in the loving arms of God’s Big Love, her Savior Jesus Christ, and all her favorite writers, historians and musicians. It will be a parade.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Funeral Chapels
