Lina Hall Lina Jane Baker Hall passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, in Russellville, Alabama. She was born to Kim Buck and Lorene (Cantrell) Baker, on August 17, 1937, in Hackleburg, Alabama.

Lina was a multi talented lady, who lived life to the fullest. She was a practical nurse for Dr West for many years, she worked for the Motorola and Emerson corporations, was the best baker of cakes and pastries, a talented florist, for years she was an active booster member for the athletics in Bear Creek, was an AVID Alabama football fan, ran a cafe and along with her husband, Bures, ran the Phillips 66 station in Bear creek for several years, and the most wonderful caregiver to many over the years. She was one of a kind and will be missed by us all. Lina was of the Baptist faith, having attended Bear Creek #1 Church.

Lina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bures Hall, brothers Melvin Baker and JT Baker, sister Sarah Baker Easley, granddaughter, Amber Dixon, great-grandson Christian Segedy, and daughter in law Patsy Dixon.

She is survived by her children, Joyce (Jim) Slaton of Fritch, Texas, Carla (Billy Bob) Miller of Richland, Washington, Bill (Sherry) Dixon of Hackleburg, Alabama, Kim (Odessa) Dixon of Midland, Texas, Charles Dixon of Bear Creek, Alabama and Bryan (LaWanda) Hall of Bear Creek, Alabama; grandchildren, Lorena Short, Duffy (Dub) Henson, Amanda (Les) Phillips, Michelle (Nick) Nowak, Bethany (Ryan) Cox, J P (Alyssa) Slaton, Stephanie (Mike) Button, Jessica Miller, Matthew Miller, Austin Dixon, Charlie Dixon, Brandi Smith, April Sullins, Hayley (Wyatt) Hyde, Levi Hall, Emma Hall, Samuel Hall, Matthew Pydlek, Jovan Lewis, Rena Dixon, Kimberly Dixon, Jeremy Dixon, Zane Dixon, Shenice Dixon and Melissa Hiatt; a multitude of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Tommy (Alice) Baker of Hackleburg; uncle, Wesley Cantrell of Wynne, AR; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a Graveside Service, on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery in the Hackleburg community at 2 PM with Pastor Vance Hutton officiating. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation in Moms name to your favorite charity.

We would like to thank the staff of Terrace Manor Nursing Home, especially her niece and great niece, Sherry Cooper and Millie McQueen who took wonderful care of her while she was a resident there and North Alabama Hospice for the care that you all gave to mom in her last days. We would also like to express our thanks to Scott Veal and his staff at Veal Memorial Funeral Home..mom loved you and we know you loved her.
