Lillie Olene Jones, 97, of Jackson, TN, formerly of Iuka, MS, died Friday, May 15, 2020, at Northbrooke Health Care and Rehab in Jackson, TN. Mrs. Jones was a member of Rocky Springs United Methodist Church and a lifelong cook. She was the former owner and operator of Olene’s Café in Iuka. She also worked as a cook at several other local establishments including the Pan Am Café, The Chuckwagon, and Sunflower Grocery. She also cooked and provided food for members of the community. Mrs. Jones also owned and operated a flea market in Iuka. She loved to dance, and was dancing well into her 90’s. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Glenda Ramsey of Jackson, TN; five grandchildren, Angie Burns of Iuka, Karen Teague of Starkville, Ronald Jones of Iuka, Becky Fletcher of Georgetown, KY, and Terry Jones of Iuka; 11 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Jones; a son, Wayne Jones; two grandchildren, Debbie Ramsey and Don Ramsey; and a son-in-law, Billy Don Ramsey. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. A private family service will be held on Sunday, May 17, graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery, officiated by Billy Glover. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Terry Jones, Luke Johnson, Doug Teague, Levi Johnson, Stewart Teague, and Billy Fletcher.
