Lillie Mae Bassham, age 82 of Cherokee, died Monday, May 5, 2014. Her family will receive friends Thursday, 2-3 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee.
A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m., in Barton Cemetery with Dwight Rivers officiating.
Mrs. Bassham was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Theopolis Bassham.
She is survived by her sons; William Garvin Bassham of Sheffield and Johnie Nelson Bassham of Oklahoma City: brothers, Tommy Pounders, Larry Pounders, James Pounders and Robert Pounders, all of Cherokee; sisters Minnie Faye Pounders, Betty Rose Pounders and Sarah Pounders; grandchildren, Lucy-Leigh Solice, Johnie Nelson Basham Jr., Wm. Charles Christopher Bassham and Brandon Allen Howard.
