Mrs. Lillian W. Hosmer, age 82 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at her residence. She was a member of Black Oak Free Holiness Church in Gary, Indiana for 27 years, and a member of Pleasant Grove Free Holiness Church. She was a loving, wife, sister and aunt to many nieces and nephews, especially to her niece Rita Morris, who was like a daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jimmy Hosmer. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ethel Williams; sisters, Hester (Roy) Thrower, Louise (Verna) Carden, Lavonne Morris; brothers, Lester (Margie) Williams, Ed (Dot) Williams, Donald (Lana) Williams.
She is survived by her brothers, Floyd (Glennie) Williams, Paul W. (Sandy) Williams; her niece who she raised as a daughter, Rita Morris; and several other nieces and nephews.
Graveside and burial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Bro. Shirley Byrum, Bro. Floyd Williams, and Bro. James Carl Black officiating.
