Funeral services for Lillian Marie Willis, 92 of Corinth are set for Sunday, August 15, 2015 at 2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial in Concord Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, August 14, 2015 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home.
Mrs. Willis was born May 26, 1923 in Guys, TN and passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Whitfield Nursing Home. She was a retired nanny and a member of Pleasant Grove Dennistown Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Earl Junior Palmer of Union, AL; 5 grandchildren, Jonathan Palmer and wife Stephanie, LaTonya Garaes, Nicole Dawkins, Cynthia Williams and Pamela Palmer; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; special niece, La-Tanya Prather- Corinth, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Palmer; her daughter, Evelyn Sales; father, Albert Short; mother, Lillie Crayton Short; brothers, Albert Short, Eddie Short and Fred Short; sisters, Hazel Willis, Lila Prather, Alice Mae Strickland, Mary Dean Thompson, Nellie Miller and Mabel Louise Patterson. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Palmer, Blake Davis, Umbraye Patterson, Shawn Ell and Heartfield Thomas. Rev. Watson, Rev, Cummings and Rev. Walker will officiate.
