Lila Mae Brackeen Hamilton, age 93, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015. She was a resident of Lauderdale County and a member of the Church of Christ at Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Lona Brackeen, sisters, Athalee Newton and Blondena Woods, husband James R. Hamilton, son Mike Hamilton, and grandsons Doug Romine Jr., Michael Hamilton, and Brent Hamilton.
Survivors include son Barry Hamilton (Donna); daughters Becky Clanton (Bobby), Barbara Turpen (Larry); Sue Hamilton, Marla Leone (Billy); grandchildren Keith Hunt (Felicia), Chris Hunt (Amy), Kristal Kizer (Van), Jonathan Romine, Audra Heinitz (Robbie), Heath Hamilton, Danon Hamilton (Crystal), Barron Hamilton (Sommer), and Morgan Hamilton; 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, February 23 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with David O’Connell and Daniel Ridinger officiating. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
