Funeral for Lila Faye Heaps Kitchens, 70, of Moulton will be Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amy Howard and Rev. Wiley Kitchens officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kitchens, who died Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born April 29, 1944, in Lawrence County to James Robert Heaps Sr. and Iler Fay Weaver Heaps. She retired as an office administrator for Dr. James Plaxco Jr. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Her father preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin Kitchens; one daughter, Pam Crumpton (Joel) of Moulton; grandchildren, Victoria Faith Jackson of Moulton, Joshua Crumpton and Beth, Ashley Crumpton Peppers and Kyle; her mother, Iler Fay Heaps of Moulton; one brother, James Robert Heaps Jr. (Laura) of Killen; and one sister, Linda Hale (Doug) of Huntsville.
Pallbearers will be Joel Crumpton, Corey McGee, Nathan Parker, Roy Kitchens, Eddie Kelsoe and Bobby Kim Gist.
