Lila Dean Bruckner, 94, of Huntsville, AL, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024.
She is survived by her children, Lee and Dean (Lauri) Bruckner; grandchildren, Jordan (Katherine), Justin (Marci), Laura, Martha, Hannah, and Nathan Bruckner; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Johnathan, and James Bruckner; and brother, Wynn Dean (Jodi).
She is preceded by her husband of 60 years, Lee Ira Bruckner; and parents, Winfield and Yetive Dean.
Lila graduated from the University of South Carolina with a PhD in Education. She retired from teaching after many years as an educator. Lila and her husband taught for many different schools, and even started international schools overseas.
The family will have a memorial service for Lila on Thursday, August 15th, starting at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Park Baptist Church, with a reception following immediately after.
