Funeral services for Lewis Kline Stephens Jr., age 75, will be held on Saturday June 18,2022 in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home in Humboldt, TN at 11 AM with burial to follow in Gibson Co, Memory Gardens with Military Honors at Gibson, TN. Visitation with the family will start a 10:30 until funeral time at 11 AM on Saturday June 18, 2022.
Mr Stephens was born February 8, 1947, in East Liverpool, Ohio. He grew up in Fontana, California, but was a proud resident of Tennessee for 56 years. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and worked as a machinist in the manufacturing industry following his military service. He attended Center United Methodist Church in Gadsden. Mr. Stephens passed away on Wednesday June 15, 2022 in the Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital in Jackson, TN.
Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by: his parents Lewis and Alieen (Morgan) Stephens Sr., his wife Rita Stephens, a stepdaughter Tammy Buckingham, and a grandson Micheal Buckingham.
Mr. Stephens is survived by; a daughter Tanya Philips and husband John of Alamo, TN; a stepson Terry Buckingham of Gadsden, TN; a sister Evalyn Hall and husband Tommie of Huntingdon, TN; and a brother Mark Stephens and wife Kathy of Anniston, AL; a grandson Timothy Buckingham; and several nieces and nephews.
