Letha Bryant Newton, age 97, of Five Points, TN passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, AL, a homemaker, loved quilting and gardening, and a member of New Liberty Methodist Church in Lawrence County, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Walker and Annie Josephine Canup Bryant; her husband, Jake Newton; one sister, Ether Bryant; four brothers, Luther Bryant, Gather Bryant, Ather Bryant, and Lather Bryant; and two half brothers, Nather Bryant and Willie Canup.

Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 18, 2015, with Bobby Gobble officiating. Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to the Lawrence County Public Library.
