Leta Leona Gordon, 86, of Haleyville, passed away on Aug. 21, 2012, in Russellville, Ala.
She was born on March 10, 1926, in Franklin County to Joseph M. Jones and Annie Lou Hornsby Jones. She was a member of Sunny Home Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. Pastor Bobby Poss will officiate. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Gordon and his wife, Mary, and Jeffrey Gordon and his wife, Kaye; daughter, Molly Cooper and her husband, Jerry; sisters, Vivian Bradford, Betty Godsey and Nettie Scott; and she was Granny to four grandchildren, Joseph Gordon, Amanda Burleson, Stephanie Pinkard and Crystal Locklar; and eight great-grandchildren, Dalton Burleson, Delaney Burleson, Chloe Gordon, Jamie Hill, Owen Pinkard, Sara Locklar, Juliette Locklar and Abigail Locklar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy T. Gordon; parents, Joseph M Jones and Annie Lou Jones; and children, Roger Gordon and Phillip Gordon.
