Lester Wade Brassfield, 66, passed away December 13, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Calhoun with his daughter Savanna Brassfield and Wanda Steed by his side. He was a hardworking man, a loving father, husband, grandfather, and best friend. Never a dull moment with Lester Brassfield, he was full of life even on his days when he didn’t feel his best. He was a strong believer in God and was ready to go to heaven to see his loved ones.
Lester is survived by his daughters, Savanna Brassfield and Rachel Willis; his sisters, Pamela McGregor and Virginia Moore; his brothers, Thomas Moore, Jr., Gary Moore, Rodney Brassfield, and Christopher Moore; grandchildren, Skylar and Kaysen Bevill, Karson Shelton, Hannah Dehetre, Brooklyn Clair, Jase Wright, Kaylin Willis, and Kaden Willis; great-grandchildren, Brennan Dehetre and another baby boy on the way.
Preceded in death by his mother, Eunice Hardin-Moore; father, Everette Brassfield; wife; Peggy Brassfield; daughter, Sheena Wright; sisters, Hope Brassfield and Melissa Ford; brothers, Tommy Brassfield; stepbrother, David Moore; and stepfather, Thomas Moore.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc assisted the family.
