Lester McKinley Chambers, age 78 of Nauvoo passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at his residence.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at New Prospect Cemetery. Russ McDonald will officiate.
Mr. Chambers was preceded in death by his Parents-Nathan McKinley Chambers, Vivian Harland Chambers Elkins and J.A. Elkins; Brother-Donnie Lee Chambers; Wife-Linda Hodges Chambers Busby; Grandparents-John Chambers and Lula Armstrong Chambers; Sister-in-law-Phyllis Jean Chambers; Grandson-David Whitney.
He is survived by his Former Wives-Judy Spradlin Chambers, Patsy Chambers and Brenda Whisenhunt Chambers; Daughters-Tammy Chambers Culverson Scott (Richard Whitney) and April Chambers Stewart; Son-McKinley Chambers; Sister-Patricia G. Chambers Woodson (Ronnie “Woody” Woodson, Sr.); Brothers-Mickey L. Chambers and Jerry Ray Chambers (Charlotte Chambers); Grandchildren-Amy Culverson Nolen, Jodi Scott Murray and Nick Whitney; Great Grandchildren-Harleigh, Ryder and Molly.
