Mr. Lester Lavern McDonald, age 83, of McMinnville, TN, died Friday, September 08, 2023, at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN. He was born March 12, 1940, in Pittsfield, PA, was retired as a heavy equipment mechanic, served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps, and was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Martha Williams McDonald and ten siblings.
Survivors include his sons David McDonald and Brian McDonald, sister Mary Ciminnisi-Stabler, grandchildren Christopher, Thomas, and Tauna McDonald, and Lauren (Matthew) Carter, and great-grandchildren Luca, Anna Leigh, and Ever Leigh McDonald. Other family members and friends also survive.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 23, 2023, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Dwight Rackley will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 P.M. Noon until 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of McMinnville Funeral Home.
