Lester James Cunningham was born on March 25th, 1930, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Athens, AL.
Services for Mr. Cunningham will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Fairview Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with George Whitten officiating.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna May Cunningham; sisters, Betty Burton and Lucille Kenner; son-in-law, Charles Latham.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Peggy Katherine Cunningham; sister, Louise Cole; daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Willie Finney their daughters, Marci Watts and husband Kyle, Ashley Finney and Tiffany Finney; daughter, Tammy Latham and her daughters, Casie Icks and husband Ryan, Charlie Porter and husband Colton, Chelsie Latham and Marshall Wagoner; son, Eric Cunningham and his son, Alex Cunningham; 6 great-grandchildren, Chloe Porter, Addison Finney, AJ Cunningham, Clara Katherine Watts, Walker Watts and Grayson Icks.
Mr. Cunningham loved fishing. He served in the Military and was retired from Rockwell/Boeing. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are Tim Baugher, Willie Finney, Kyle Watts, Steve Pepper, Bob Borden and Marshall Wagoner.
