Lester I. Adams Sr. – Obituary

Lester I. Adams Sr., 91, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sept. 24, 2013. He was retired from the United States Labor Department, past Master of the Harry R. Kendall Masonic Lodge, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a former member of Southeast Christian Church and a member of Middletown United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven W. Adams.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Clara W. Adams; son, Lester I. Adams Jr. (Jennifer); daughter, Lisa A. Saylor (Barry); sisters, Mary Ruth Adams and Joyce Ann Cleveland; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

The celebration of his life will be held at noon on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Middletown United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, from noon to 5 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, and on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, in the chapel at Middleton United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until service time. Expressions of sympathy may go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Middletown United Methodist Church or Hosparus of Louisville.
