Lester Earl SingerLester Earl Singer, age 69 of Franklin, KY passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Medical Center Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. following a lengthy illness. He was born July 12, 1955 In Clinton, IL to Joseph Amos & Margie Marie Underwood Singer. He worked as a Grand Ole Opry musician and played lead guitar and banjo for Bill Anderson’s Po Folk’s band for the past 40+ years, longer than anyone in history.. He also played rhythm guitar for the entire life of the Country’s Family Reunion television series. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Singer, Franklin, KY; 4 daughters, Jana Dawn Spicer, Carrie Rebecca (Chad) Cayce and Haley Ann (Kyle) Kelley, all of White House, TN and Marissa Beth Singer, Franklin, KY; brothers, Eddie Howard (Chrissy) Singer, Pontiac, IL and John Michael Singer, WA; sisters Janice Marie (Gary) Eble, Tiskilwa, IL, Kelli Jo Reynolds and Jennifer Ann Wyant, both of Bloomington, IL; 7 grandchildren, Zachary, Austin, Lucas, Caleb, Ava, Behr and Brixley; 1 great-grandchild, Willow. An informal gathering of remembrance will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 2pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with grandsons and sons-in-law serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 12pm until 2pm at the funeral home.
