Lester Dickman – Obituary

Lester Dickman departed this life on Monday, December 28, 2015, at the age of 86 years, 1 month, and 16 days. He was born in Santa Anna, California on November 12, 1929, the son of the late Lester William and Margaret Anna Cordis Dickman. On July 15, 1951, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Mary Hamilton Dickman, who survives.

Lester received his masters degree in Business Management from Madison College in Madison, Tennessee and was the Corporate President at Harbert Hills Academy. He was a member of the Savannah Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Adventist-Laymens Service and Industries, which is
a cooperative network of lay individuals, professionals, business owners, and ministries who collectively support the global mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening as a hobby.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Geraldine Mary Hamilton Dickman of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Randall Lee Dickman and Stephen Lester Dickman both of Savannah. Tennessee, and Pamela Lynette Dickman Biggers of Waynesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Heather Dickman Hoewing, Julia Dickman Lehman, Karra Garrard Dickman, Renata Biggers Maxwell, Eva Biggers, and Conn Biggers; great-grandchildren, Stephen Hoewing and Katie Maxwell; sisters, Marge Dickman of Placerville, California and Marlin Dickman of Piney Creek, North Carolina; brothers, Larry Dickman of Al Campa, California and Lerroy Dickman of California.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Melba Dickman Anderson.
