Lessie Stockard, 84, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on February 15, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born April 9, 1936, in Elkmont Alabama, the daughter of William and Myra (Wales)Black.
On October 24.1959, She married James Stockard who proceeded her in death July 28, 2003. Together they celebrated 44 years together. Lori was a loving devoted wife, patient loving mother, grandmother, and compassionate friend.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Stockard and her grandson Taylor Stockard Willis, and many special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Flora Dodson, Ruby Tennyson; four brothers: James (Jack); Eugene, Kenneth, and John Black.
Graveside service will be held at Polk Memorial Gardens, in the Garden of Faith, Friday, February 19, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with Anna T. Miller officiating.
