Leslie Randolph Hester, age 93, died on April 14, 2021. He was born March 4, 1928, in Choctaw County, MS to the late Leslie and Elsie Susanna Hester. He was also preceded in death by his seven brothers and sisters.
He served in the US Navy and then attended Wood Junior College and then Mississippi State University where he received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering. He taught at MSU for 39 years in the Aerospace Engineering department. He loved teaching, woodworking, and MSU Bulldog sports.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret.
He is survived by his sons, Robert (Marion) Hester of Jackson, MS, Charles (Sally) Hester and Richard (Felisha) Hester of Starkville, MS, daughter Lynn (Mark) Moran of Tullahoma, TN, grandchildren, Jacob Hester, Jordan Mallette, Bell Moody, Ethan Hester, Callie Steinmetz Hester, Alan and Matt Moran, and four great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be Friday, April 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville, MS. Officiating services will be Rev. Jim Genesse.
