Mr. Leslie (Les) L. Harmon, 80, of Florence, passed away Aug. 8, 2013 at ECM Hospital. He was a member of Church of Christ faith, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a Tennessee VOLS and Atlanta Braves fan, and a lover of birds that he fed daily. Les was a retired plant manager of Wheeler Dam for TVA.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 1 – 2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with military funeral honors. Officiating will be Robert Huffaker.
Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Etoil Austin Harmon; and brother, Don Harmon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mrs. Johnnie Lee Behel Harmon; and beloved dogs, BooBoo & Kassie.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Behel, Harold Behel, Ray Behel, Don Behel, Kenny Behel, and J.W. Michael.
Glen McMurtrey will serve as honorary pallbearer.
