Leslie Kristin Essary, 23, of Decatur, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday February 22, 2015.
A celebration of her life will be Wednesday at 2 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home chapel. Her visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Gatlin Cemetery, in Ardmore, AL. Dr. Freed Ware and Bro. Joel Wallace are officiating.
Leslie is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Frank Essary, and William Calvin Philpot.
She is survived by her parents, Dr. Michael and LaTresa Essary, grandmothers, Martha Philpot, and Fay Essary, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Leslie was born February 21, 1992, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Leslie had a special glow with an outgoing personality. She never met a stranger, and always put others first. Her smile touched all of those who experienced it. Her presence simply brought joy to everyone. Leslie was the joy and love of her parent’s lives. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Her parents would like to thank the Lord for giving them a special child for 23 years.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The parents wish to offer special thanks to all the Drs., nurses, and staff at Decatur-Morgan Hospital who helped care for their daughter.
