Leslie King – Obituary

Leslie King, 71, of Hatton passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the funeral home with Jonathan Henderson and Steve Kelso officiating. Burial will be in Old Liberty Cemetery.

A member of New Hope Baptist Church, Mr. King drove for Holland and Woodard for 24 years and then worked for the Lawrence County Road Department for 11 years as a driver.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ethel King; daughter, Marilyn Collier (James); son, Randall King (Teresa); grandchildren, Joyce Collier and Nick Collier; four great-grandchildren; brothers, LC King (Sandy), and James King (Diana) of Alabama, and Felton King (Donna) of Kentucky; sisters, Bertha Ann Houston of Georgia, Ruby Dale Frink of Indiana, Margaret Kemper of Georgia, Dorothy Shearer of Alabama.

Pallbearers will be; Kenny Williams, Ronnie Porter, Randy Terry, Austin Blankenship, Lane Blankenship, and Bailey Blankenship.

The family extends special thanks to the doctors and nurses at ECM and North Alabama Specialty Hospital for their wonderful care.
