Leslie Gye Nichols, 90, of Town Creek, Ala., died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Ala. He was born April 4, 1922, in Lawrence County, Ala. He was self employed as a cattle farmer. He served in the Armyduring WWII. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.

He is survived by wife, Christine Little Nichols, Town Creek; daughter, Pamela Attina and James, Ohio; daughter, Carol VanSchoor and Richard, Ohio; grandson, Todd Nichols; grandson, Kelly Nichols; grandson, Greg Attina and Sheila; granddaughter, Christy Davis and Joe; great-grandchild, Cassidy Attina; great-grandchild, Cavin Davis; great-grandchild, McKenna Davis.

He was preceded in death by father, Oscar L. Nichols; mother, Letha Bowling Nichols; son, Gary Nichols; four brothers; one sister.

Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the funeral home chapel, with burial in King Cemetery, Town Creek, Ala. Brother Chris Miller is officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jim Attina, Greg Attina, Joe Davis, Mike Masterson and Roger Masterson.
