Lerman Richard Gey – Obituary

Lerman Richard Gey age 90 of Athens passed way Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Floyd E. “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home. He was born December 22, 1924 in Athens, Alabama to Fritz Richard Gey and Alma Hall Gey.

Services will be Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00AM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Roger Bedingfield officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 6:00-9:00PM. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery.

Lerman is survived by his daughter Vicki Bedingfield (Roger) and his son Mark Gey, granddaughters Carson Wakefield (Brady), and Whitney Reinhart (Dave). He is also survived by great- grandchildren Deacon Cowart and Harlyn Cowart, brother Wayne Gey (Sharon), and sister Barbara Burns (Frank). And several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
He was a member of Jennings Chapel Church of Christ and a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. where he served during WWII.

Pallbearers will be: Deacon Cowart, Carson Wakefield, Brady Wakefield, Whitney Reinhart, Wayne Gey, and Otto Boeswetter.
