Diane was a native of Tuscumbia and graduated from Deshler in 1969. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Alabama in 1979 and worked for Colbert and Lauderdale Counties Department of Human Resources. Diane later retired from the Alabama Medicaid Agency after working 25 years with the state of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Elton Sneed, Jr.; parents, James Grady and Ruby Jewel Cain Dougless; and brother, Doyle Dougless.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Jenni Freeman (Shane); stepdaughter, Melissa Sneed; stepson, Thomas Henry Sneed; sister, Linda Richardson; granddaughter, Molly Freeman; step grandson, Evan Woodis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Gary Kobet, Doug Richardson, Dough Rickman, Lyndon Cain, Jerry Cain, and Greg Kimbrough.
