Funeral services for Mr. Leonard Thomas “Buddy” Blankenship, age 71, are scheduled for 2PM on Tuesday February 9, 2016 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Derrick Jowers and Bro. Tim Maness officiating. Burial will follow in Hare Cemetery. Mr. Blankenship passed away on Saturday February 6, 2016 in Jackson, TN. Born June 10, 1944 in Henderson Co. TN. to the late P. F. Blankenship and Essie Hart Blankenship. Mr. Leonard was a retired Production Supervisor for Magna Tech. Mr. Blankenship was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, worked 33 years at Magna Tech, and was a charter member of Station 10 Fire Department. Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by brothers; Calvin, Roy, Bill, and Sidney Blankenship, and two sisters, Lona Loftin and Adlay Blaylock. Survivors include, his wife of 21 years, Mrs. Emily Blankenship, son, Bryant Keith Blankenship(Amy), daughter, Sandra Gail Middleton (David White), brother, Cecil Blankenship (Paulette), four sisters, Alice Hayes, Betty Crowe, Nina Crowe, and Ann Jenkins, four grandchildren, Jacob Middleton(Morgan), Dillon Blankenship (Brooke Roberts), Hayden Blankenship, and Taylor Bunch, and two great grandchildren, Jamison Middleton and Avery Blankenship. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in memory of Leonard Blankenship to St. Jude Children’s Fund or charity of their choice.
