Leonard Dexter O’Rear

Leonard Dexter O’Rear, 79, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born April 10, 1943 to the late Novis O’Rear and the late Nona Adams O’Rear. He was a member of Walker Baptist Church. He worked for Davis Ford for 30 plus years. He started O’Rear Towing service with the help of his son, Kevin. Dexter was a simple man who understood hard work.
Service will be 2:00 pm on Saturday February 18, 2023 at Senter Funeral Directors with Bro. Clay Weaver officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Saturday in the Senter Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Old Bethel Cemetery. Senter Funeral Directors has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jana O’Rear of Fulton; son, Kevin (Tiwana) O’Rear of Fulton; grandson, Aedan O’Rear; brother, Addis (Joan) O’Rear; sister, Glenda Sue (Nelson) Elrod; host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Lial O’Rear, Leland O’Rear, Leburn O’Rear, Lionel O’Rear; sister, Eva Lois O’Rear, LaRue Stanford, Lila Ruth Holland, Linda Blanton
Memorials can be made in Dexter’s honor to Sanctuary Hospice House, 5159 W. Main St., Tupelo, MS 38801
