Mr. Leonard Dalton Hayes, 90 of Florence passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at his residence. He was a native of Lauderdale County and a member of Salem Church of Christ.
Visitation is today, December 9, 2012 from 5-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Salem Church of Christ with burial in Wilson Cemetery. Officiating will be Caleb Cunningham. The body will be placed inside the church one hour prior to service time.
Mr. Hayes is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Hayes and Lenner Alice Brewer Hayes, seven brothers and five sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Riley Hayes ,two sons, Coy D. Hayes(Brenda) and Troy D. Hayes (Joyce)all of Florence, two daughters, Mary C. Hayes and Rhonda D. Hayes McKinney, all of Florence , grandchildren, Cindy Hayes Peedon, Dalton Hayes, James McKinney III(Kylie), Samantha McKinney, and Ashton Hayes Joiner., great grandchildren, Chase Miller, Colton Hayes, Kaley Peedon, Brison Hayes, Brently Joiner, and Hannah Hayes all of Florence.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
