Funeral services will be on Sunday November 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Pastors Lynn Simmons and David Swafford officiating. Interment will follow at Clay Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jon Knopps, Ryan Knopps, Shay Knopps, Derek Rooks, Gerald Newsom, and Blaine Brewer. The family will receive friends on Saturday November 24, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Newsom is survived by her son, Tim (Kim) Newsom of Woodville; grandson, Seth (Candace) Cameron of Grant; great grandson, Cohen Cameron; and siblings, Tom (Barbara) Newsom of Scottsboro, Ann Cranford of Huntsville, Mary Rooks of Huntsville, Naomi (Troy) Knopps of Gurley, Evella (Billy) Heatherington of Huntsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Evelyne Newsom; brother, Charles Newsom; and niece, Loretta Rouse.
