Leon Reyer, 90 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Monday, January 25, 2016, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Monday, November 2, 1925 in Ardmore, Alabama, he was the son of the late S A Reyer and the late Maggie Hood Reyer. He retired from the US Army Missile Command and was a Veteran of the US Army Air Force, serving in WWII. He attended Community Baptist Church and enjoyed beekeeping, woodworking and spending time with his grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Reba Mae Pylant Reyer, and a grandson: Jeremy Eckstein.
Surviving are daughters, Janice Eckstein of Ardmore, AL and Patricia (Johnny) Hatchett of Ardmore, AL, five grandsons, and two great grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Spencer Hardiman and Bro. Rick Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
