Leola Young, 105 of Toney, Alabama died on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Limestone Health Facility in Athens, Alabama.
Born Saturday, June 17, 1911 in Elkmont, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Charley Eckstein and the late Lela Shelton Eckstein. She was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Jimmy Young, grandson: Steve Holt, three sisters, six brothers, and a great-grandson: Jordon Young. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
Surviving are son, Donny (Paulette) Young of Toney, AL, daughters, Alma Ruth Shaw of Elkmont, AL, and Lela Adcock of Athens, AL, three grandchildren: Kristi (Robert) Valls, Donny Young II, and Rusty (Mary Ann) Young, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Tony Boyles officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
