Leo Townsend, age 89 of Lynnville, passed away Tuesday March 25, 2025 at his residence.Leo was born in Minor Hill on October 21, 1935 to Honor Coleman and Elsie Viola McGill Townsend. He was a retired diesel mechanic for Rayburn Motor Company and was a farmer all his life. Leo had a special passion for being outdoors with animals he loved (especially Rusty and Misty), working on his farm, spending time with his family who he loved dearly, and being a member of the Campbellsville Church of Christ. Leo is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 59 years Pauline Adams Townsend; twin sister Cleo Shelton; and 8 other siblings.
Visitation will be 11-2pm on Saturday March 29, 2025 with the Funeral Services following at 2pm at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Campbellsville Cemetery.
Leo is survived by his son Roger Leo Townsend of Pulaski; daughter Jennifer Wilson (David) of Lynnville; sister Sue Goar (Charles) of Laverne; grandchildren Levi Townsend (Courtney), Sarah Mueller (Jeff), Shelby Pewitt (Trey), Landon Wilson; great grandchildren Ethan, Robert, Silas, Gus, Talullah, Llewyn, Colt; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
