Lennis Inez Reams, age 86, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, May 04, 2024 at the Cottage of the Shoals.
Lennis was born on April 23, 1938, to Eugene & Florence (Hurley) Hacker in Belgreen. She loved attending church at Grave Covenant Church and loved to sing. She was known as the best biscuit maker around and everyone always wanted one. She had a deep love for animals including her dogs and her bird. More than anything, she loved her whole family and leaves them many wonderful memories.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Young; parents, Eugene & Florence (Hurley) Hacker; sisters, Dora Pounders, Lorene King, Eva Yellig, Meathel Franks, Louise Bohannon, Hazel Fierro; and brothers, Cleveland Hacker, Verlon Hacker, Gayleard Hacker, and Berlene Hacker.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Tom Davis (Jane), Allen Young (Barbara), Loyd Young, Pat Frederick (Larry), Tina Rizzio; 17grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one on the way; siblings, Doris Okerbloom (Ed), Jewell Powell, Juanita Bugge (Mike); and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 07, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 08, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Matthew Reed officiating the service. The burial will be at Dempsey Cemetery. The pallbearers will be the grandsons.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and the staff the Cottage of the Shoals, Terry Owens, on 2nd floor at Helen Keller; and to all of the other family and friends who have been by our side through this time.
