Lenda Lee Vann Woody – Obituary

Lenda Lee Vann Woody, 75, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday. Born at Huntsville Hospital in 1940, Mrs. Woody was Homecoming Queen of Huntsville High School in 1957, and graduated in 1958 as a member of its “Golden Class.” She was a member of the Bridge Club for over 50 years. Mrs. Woody loved her family and friends dearly, was a loving and giving person and a friend to all. She was a wonderful wife of 56 years, mother and grandmother to her three children and four grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Rhett Woody Jr.; daughters, Kathy Woody and Jenny Ragland (Tom); son, Rhett Woody III (Beth); identical twin sister, Glenda Bragg (Joe); brother, Mack Vann (Margaret); granddaughters, Caroline (Robin), Marley, Madeline, and Mae Ellen; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26 at First United Methodist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at the church Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or the Big Oak Ranch.
