Mrs. Lena Kennedy Patterson, age 67 of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. A native of Benson, NC, she has lived in Madison County for the past 44 years. Mrs. Patterson was a member of Woodville Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leon and Nita Davis Kennedy and seven brothers, William Kennedy, J.L. Kennedy, Henry Kennedy, Durell Kennedy, Ray Kennedy, L.A. Kennedy, and J.P. Kennedy.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by her loving husband, Herbie Patterson of Huntsville, two sons Herbie Ralph Patterson, and wife Leslie of Flintville, TN and Bronson Patterson and wife Kema of Huntsville, three brothers, Tony Kennedy, Wayne Kennedy, & Ralph Kennedy all of Chattanooga, TN, sister, Margaret Neal of Atlanta, GA, granddaughters Karissa Walls and Kambry Patterson of Huntsville, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at First Flint River Baptist Church on Mooresmill Rd. Funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at First Flint River Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Higdon officiating. Interment will follow at Flint River Cemetery in Meridianville.
