Lela Vivian Wilson Brooks, 90, of Moulton died Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at her residence. She was born March 7, 1923, in Lawrence County to Alfred Vernon Wilson and Cynthia Mote Wilson. She was a retired seamstress for Cowan’s Sportswear and attended New Liberty Congregational Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Harold Patterson; and three grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Hillard Patterson and Patricia of Muscle Shoals, Wayne Brooks and Kim of Hartselle and DeWayne Brooks and Katrina of Iron City, Tenn.; one daughter, Doris Quinn of Trinity; one brother, Carl Wilson of Moulton; one sister, Lurdean McCreless of Moulton; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
At Mrs. Lela’s request, there will be no visitation, no funeral service and no graveside service.
