Today is a special day to celebrate Lehman Lamar Goodwin’s life. He passed peacefully on March 5, 2024 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born December 31, 1956 in Walker, Alabama. Mr. Goodwin was 67 when he passed away.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Debra Ann Tolbert Goodwin and son Lehman Lamar Goodwin, Jr., sister, Dolly Ruth; grandmother, Dolly Dye, brother-in-law, Jimmy Parker; niece, Angela Parker, and daughter-in-law, Alisha Mote.
Lehman is survived by his son, Derick Lamar Goodwin (Morgan Garrison); grandchildren, Derick Lamar Goodwin Jr., Layla Mote, Gypsy Goodwin, and Jersie Goodwin; son, Justin Tylor Tolbert (Kortney Perry Tolbert); and grandson, Corbyn Grey Tolbert; his daughter, Chloe Amanda Goodwin (Cruz Cameron Vaca), and grandson Ballamy Cameron Goodwin LaDeaux, Son, Hunter Lamar Goodwin; sister, Brenda Parker Berry (Charles Berry), Jimmy Lamar Parker; Aunt, Faye Morgan, and Niece Stacy and Edward Poff and a host of extended friends and family.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home beginning at 2:00. Lehman’s family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Burial will follow at New Horizon Memorial Gardens.
