Mr. Leevon Leslie From the Creator we come and to Him we will return. Leevon Leslie also known as “Shock” or “Uncle Shock”, was called to rest on Saturday, February 28, 2024 in his home surrounded by family. He was born on November 28, 1948 in Huntsville, Alabama the second child to the late Mr. John W. and Bertha M. Leslie. To this union, two other children were given – the late Gloria Leslie and A’Renee Heard. Special cousins, Anthony D. Allison, and K. Sandra Douglas are more like siblings. == Leevon attended William Hooper Council High School where he was known to love boxing above all other sports. Leevon loved people and was loved in return. Although his illness prevented him from experiencing life to the fullest, he knew the Lord as his personal savior. Leevon was preceded in death by his parents Mr. John W. Leslie and Mrs. Bertha M. Leslie, his sister Gloria Jean Leslie, his niece Asanda Michelle Leslie-Rice and his grand-niece, Sharika S. Scruggs, nephew Gregory D. Douglas and grandmother, Mrs. Annie Mae Allison. Leevon leaves to cherish his loving memories one sister, A’Renee Heard, two nephews, Mr. Andre L. Leslie, Mr. Peyton A. Leslie, cousin/sister, Sandra Douglas, cousin/brother, Mr. Anthony (Bassie) Allison, all of Huntsville, AL. Five grand-nieces and nephews, Jordan and Noah Leslie, LaRandez Quayshawn and LaVonte Deyshawn Rice and nine great-grandnieces/nephews. Three nieces: Renoka (Larry) Butler, Rasheda Heard and Rachell (Christopher) Hixon and one nephew, Robert T. Heard, Jr.; cousins/nephews, Eric A. (Burntine) Allison, Rodrikus (Diane) Douglas and Gregory Douglas (deceased}, and host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service for Mr. Leevon Leslie will be 12:00 noon, Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace (450 Mount Lebanon Road Toney, AL 35773) with Pastor Billy Jones officiating.

Public viewing will be held from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2024, and 8:30 until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Royal Funeral Home.
