Lee Roy Lovelace, 77, of Iuka, MS, died Friday, September 30, 2016, at his residence. Mr. Lovelace attended New Beginnings Fellowship Church and was a lifelong truck driver. He was currently employed at Wooten Transport in Memphis. Lee Roy was a U. S. Army veteran, and served in West Germany. He enjoyed working outdoors in the yard and fishing. He also loved spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and helping his friends and neighbors with bush hogging. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, at Mr. Lovelace’s home located at 281 CR 197, Iuka, MS 38852. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22, graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Jimmy Daniel. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by two daughters, Lee Ann Robertson of Iuka, and Sherry White of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Chester Lovelace of Paden, and Eugene Lovelace of Burnsville; four sisters, Joy Belle Hodges of Memphis, TN, Shirley Pounders of Iuka, Geneva of Iuka, and Ida Mae Robertson of Collierville, TN; four grandchildren, Destiny Vick (Stephen) of Iuka, Stephanie Hensley of Iuka, Samantha Johnson of Memphis, TN, and Ian Johnson of Montgomery, AL; two adopted grandchildren, Pvt. Richard White of Ft. Benning, GA, and Rhonda White of Arkadelphia, AR; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe Brooke Hensley and Peyton Vick. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Lovelace; his parents, George W. and Melvie Walters Lovelace; and a brother, Truman Lovelace. Memorials may be made to New Beginnings Fellowship, c/o Bro.
