Obituary of Lee Moody Brewer Lee “MacMac” Moody Brewer, 87, of Decatur, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Mancelona, MI. He was a graduate of Ferris State with a degree in Engineering. In 1957, he accepted a position with Saginaw Steering Gear in Saginaw, MI. In 1977, he transferred to the new Athens, AL plant where he worked until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed golf, traveling, spending time with family, and attending Blue Grass Festivals. He was a member of Beltline Church of Christ until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his grandson David Matthew Brewer Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lora Lee Hawke Brewer of Decatur, sons; Keith(Lisa) Brewer of Trinity, Mark Brewer of Merritt Island, Florida, and David(Tina) Brewer of Hartselle. Sister; Dana Koch Kise of West Branch, MI, grandchildren; Amy(Tim) Pahman, Danny(Paige)Brewer both of Decatur and Will (Carrie) Brewer of Huntsville. Great grandchildren; Mason and Colton Phillips, Keelee, Madilynn, Harlan and Brianna Kate Brewer.

A graveside service will be held on Friday April 12, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Roselawn Cemetery with Curtis Sampley and Steve Smith officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Danny Brewer, Will Brewer, Mason Phillips, Colton Phillips, Tim Pahman, and Tim Thomas.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Alabama or The Mike Nix Legacy Fund C/O Beltling Church of Christ.

Roselawn Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
