Lee Franklin Hagedorn, age 82, Haleyville, AL., went home to his Heavenly Father, Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He is a member of First Baptist Church-Haleyville.
He was a graduate and football player at Florence State University, an avid sportsman, and then turned his passion later in life to following his children and grandchildren in all their activities.
Visitation will be Friday, December 23, 2022, from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Haleyville, AL., with his funeral at 2:00 pm at the church with Pastor Nathan Carroll officiating. Burial to follow at Winston Memorial Cemetery. No graveside services.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, June Hagedorn; three children, Wade (Pam) Hagedorn, Leigh Ann (Kelly) Kiser, and Lynn (Joel) Sherrill; brother, James Hagedorn; sisters, Johanna (Randy) Johnson and Clara (Greg) Kent; six grandchildren, Grace (Jim) Bedsole, Grant (Caitlin) Hagedorn, Judson (Maridy) Sherrill, Sydney (Dylan) Burleson, Conner Kiser and Brady Sherrill; two great grandchildren, Margaret Lee Hagedorn and Charlotte Lee Burleson; and many nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Judson Sherrill, Grant Hagedorn, Conner Kiser, Brady Sherrill, Brock Kent, and Justin Kent. Honorary pallbearers include the Mens Crusaders Sunday School class.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and June Hagedorn.
