Lebert Charles Lucas, 84, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, at Diversicare of Amory. He was born September 10, 1939 to the late Elmer Joseph Lucas and the late Amye Geneva Young Lucas in Red Bay, AL. He retired from Day Brite Lighting after 43 years of service and was a member of Fulton Church of God of Prophecy. Lebert loved his church and served as Deacon for over 30 years, as well as Sunday School teacher. He enjoyed farming, bird hunting, playing guitar, rebuilding engines and working on vehicles.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday August 8, 2024, at Senter Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Shottsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am – 11am on Thursday August 8, at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In addition to his wife of 36 years, Glenda Lucas, he is survived by his sons, Jeffery (Jinjer) Lucas of Fisherville, KY, and Gregory Lucas of Fulton; daughter, Robynn Lucas of Booneville, stepson Rodney Sartin of Fulton, and step daughter, Christy (Glenn) White of Mantachie; grandchildren, Derek (Lindsey) McCollum, Britni (Ed) York, Matthew (India) Lucas, Justin (Samantha) Phillips, Tyler Lucas; step grandchildren, Thomas (Brandi) White, and Carley (Shawn) Jenkins; great grandchildren, Charlie York, Cohen York, Maci Lucas, Colt Lucas, Ellie York, Rett Lucas,WillaKate Lucas, Sadi Lucas, Arwen McCollum, Ari McCollum, Allie Grace White, Coltn White, Jaci Kate Jenkins, Robbie Jenkins, Gracie Jenkins, and Oakleigh Jenkins; sister, Brenda (Bobby) Owen of Fulton, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Fancy Faye Lucas; his parents, Elmer Joseph Lucas, and Amye Geneva Lucas; daughter, Charlotte Rene Lucas; sister, Olene Chumbley; and brother, Herbert Lucas.
Pallbearers will be Matt Lucas, Justin Phillips, Tyler Lucas, Ed York, Cohen York, and Colt Lucas.
