Leavell Holmes Wilkinson – Obituary

Funeral for Leavell Holmes Wilkinson, 80, of Cullman will be today, December 6, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church with Brother Dennis Trimble officiating and Cullman Heritage Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Enon Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilkinson, who died Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Princeton Medical Center, was born October 15, 1933, in Morgan County to Murphy and Vera Holmes. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Cullman and also a member of Vinemont Eastern Star. She was an encourager to everyone she knew. She was a caretaker to her family and friends and lived her life for her grandchildren. She loved Alabama football and Cullman Bearcat football and rarely missed a game. She loved everyone at Woodland Nursing Home and appreciated their love in return for making her life there enjoyable and comfortable. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Ray Wilkinson.

Survivors include two daughters, Rita (Wendell) Bennett and Cindy Wilkinson Howard; one brother, Weandell (Geraldine) Holmes; one sister, Wanda Alexander; five grandchildren, David (Tammy) Woodall, Stephanie (Jason) Jarrell, Tammy (Terry) Holcomb, Ethan Bennett and Hollie Bennett; seven great-grandchildren, Dustin Woodall, Makalah Jarrell, Skylah Jarrell, Jaylah Jarrell, Aaliya Jarrell, Alex Holcomb and Mackenzie Holcomb; and one great-great-grandchild, Bentley K. Woodall.
